Production; Editing to the Music

 Hello again Gems.

So at the end of last blog you were not only left on a cliffhanger but also with a reference. For all of you who understood reference congrats we have similar music taste. For the ones who didn't it was a play on the lyrics from 'Lover' by Taylor Swift. Also get real comfy that album because you will be seeing a lot of it. Well let's get into this.

These are the lyrics I'm using for the commercial:

(I see right through me, I see right through me)
'Cause they see right through meThey see right through meThey see right throughCan you see right through me?They see right throughThey see right through me
I felt for a commercial about me, I should use a song with lyrics in first person. I thought this would connect the audience to me better. But that's not what you are here for, is it. Onto how my picture and Taylor's lyrics are a match made in heaven. So we're clear this is not lyric analyze, however we will be breaking them down just a bit. I know what your thinking 'how is there a deeper meaning in these lyrics?' Great question. The song itself is about anxiety and these lyrics of her questioning can other see through the picture she has painted. This for a self made commercial is perfect.
Now let's get into the part you all have been waiting for it; the picture to lyrics. Not to quote myself but it's honest perfection. Matching pictures to the lyrics are as follows: first picture of me, acknowledging the fact presented by the music. For the next two lines I used the videos of my sister and I. For the question I used a picture myself, grouping myself with everyone else. Then a picture of my grandma and I. And lastly a picture of me representing that yes they see through me but I'm fine with that. Also while writing I've noticed the last two pictures, minus the baby photo, are the only pictures of me smiling. Which as the picture that represent me being being ok with people seeing the real me is perfection.
Well help me hold on to you because this blog is coming to the end. I'll see y'all Gems in the next one where we talk about adding the finishing touches to the commercial.

Sincerely,
Makenna Jewels <3

Production: Filming; The Man in the Mirror (maze)

Hey Gems. Welcome back as promised here is the blog were I felt everything went wrong. But we'll get into that. This blog is not A Glimpse in my Chaotic Mind, because I wouldn't have done that, rather a look into someone else's mind. Let's just get into this.  First how do you work at a fair and have the most unapproachable attitude I have ever seen in my whole 16 years of living. Like if you don't like people don't work at fair. Like hello. So as y’all know the mirror maze was a major part of our film. Yes I’m using past tense because that dream came crashing down real quick. So. we mostly filmed in order of the scenes. We beforehand asked each ride or game attendee can we film. When we asked Mr. Attitude’s response was “no, how many?” Then when we were trying to explain the situation to him he just scanned the game-card and told us to go in. However we were what for it to clear so we could get a good take. He doesn’t care at all.  Now that we had captured the ...

Production; Wrapped in black

Hey Gems.  I hope you enjoyed my rant about about motorcycles last blog. Today's blog is going to be less aggressive. Yes, I know the title is deceiving. But what do you expect when this is a glimpse into my chaotic mind. However today is all about my costume. Let's get into this.   My character Amanda (spoiler) is the stalker so we decided all black would be the best option.  A hoodie was also included in the outfit as to make to reveal more dramatic. Shall we break this outfit down like they do on the red carpet.  A black hoodie that was slightly oversized to have a hood that would cover my face. The face covering that was actually a black scarf which was used instead of a face mask. And I think the worst decision made on my part, black boots with an wedge. Don't get me wrong I love my boots but as a stalker running around a fair, a pair of Converses would have been a relief. The hoodie and boots were paired with dark blue jeans. Side note the nails ...

Title Research; Gone girl

Welcome back Gems. Today the research we've learned is being used to break down an opening sequence.  The movie being used is Gone Girl. Let's get into this.  The website I have decided to use is: http://www.artofthetitle.com/ What titles are displayed during the opening sequences? They display that it is a David Fincher film Based on the novel by Gillian Flynn, Written by Gillian Flynn and Scott Huff. They also mention the actors like Rosamund Pike, Ben Affleck, Neil Patrick Harris, Tyler Perry, Carrie Coon, Kim Dickens, Patrick Fugit, and Lisa Banes. Also, they mention the title “Gone What images are prioritized in the opening sequence? The opening sequence of Gone Girl is quite stylized and features a series of images of the lead characters Amy Eliott and Nick Punne as well as the various places where the movie is set, including their sprawling New York home, the streets of Missouri, and the natural surroundings. How does the film establish a feeling of the genre fro...
