Research and Planning

 Welcome back Gems.

Planning things about myself has never been easy, being honest about yourself them to other people. Welcome to how I start (or attempt to) this process. I had no idea were to start. Scrolling through hundreds of photos on both Google Photos and Snapchat as preparation. So let's jump into it.

For pictures start from the beginning well the youngest with my siblings and I in purple. Then to the most recent picture of me in purple. And the last picture me on the first day of school.  Chronological order, a mini timeline of my life.

Videos are a lot harder than picture roughly 98% of my videos are of other people so finding some to use was a challenge. Keep in mind these videos are featuring my sisters. The videos are from my cruise to the Bahamas last September as they are probably the only videos I am will to share with the general population. But hey, that's the point of planning.

Choosing songs was thought to be the easiest as I have an entire playlist dedicated to songs I feel represent my life. But lo and below I'm still struggling. Here's my thought process: People Watching by Conan Gray because this is the first song I've heard and really felt this was about me. And Dear Reader which felt like Taylor was speaking directly to me.  Then I decided to listen the playlist for inspiration. Which of course lead to me remembering a song I have not heard in years, Kids are alright Tate McRae. So now I'm thinking about what songs will have the best crossfade. At this point I'm debating about put all the songs I'm thinking about on a wheel and letting that decide for me. The wheel deciding is looking very promising right now.

Well that was a look into my brain while chaotically planning out something about myself.  Not as easy as one would assume. Anyways I got to go spin a wheel to help me make choices about myself.

Sincerely,
Makenna Jewels <3

Production: Filming; The Man in the Mirror (maze)

Hey Gems. Welcome back as promised here is the blog were I felt everything went wrong. But we'll get into that. This blog is not A Glimpse in my Chaotic Mind, because I wouldn't have done that, rather a look into someone else's mind. Let's just get into this.  First how do you work at a fair and have the most unapproachable attitude I have ever seen in my whole 16 years of living. Like if you don't like people don't work at fair. Like hello. So as y’all know the mirror maze was a major part of our film. Yes I’m using past tense because that dream came crashing down real quick. So. we mostly filmed in order of the scenes. We beforehand asked each ride or game attendee can we film. When we asked Mr. Attitude’s response was “no, how many?” Then when we were trying to explain the situation to him he just scanned the game-card and told us to go in. However we were what for it to clear so we could get a good take. He doesn’t care at all.  Now that we had captured the ...

Production; Wrapped in black

Hey Gems.  I hope you enjoyed my rant about about motorcycles last blog. Today's blog is going to be less aggressive. Yes, I know the title is deceiving. But what do you expect when this is a glimpse into my chaotic mind. However today is all about my costume. Let's get into this.   My character Amanda (spoiler) is the stalker so we decided all black would be the best option.  A hoodie was also included in the outfit as to make to reveal more dramatic. Shall we break this outfit down like they do on the red carpet.  A black hoodie that was slightly oversized to have a hood that would cover my face. The face covering that was actually a black scarf which was used instead of a face mask. And I think the worst decision made on my part, black boots with an wedge. Don't get me wrong I love my boots but as a stalker running around a fair, a pair of Converses would have been a relief. The hoodie and boots were paired with dark blue jeans. Side note the nails ...

Title Research; Gone girl

Welcome back Gems. Today the research we've learned is being used to break down an opening sequence.  The movie being used is Gone Girl. Let's get into this.  The website I have decided to use is: http://www.artofthetitle.com/ What titles are displayed during the opening sequences? They display that it is a David Fincher film Based on the novel by Gillian Flynn, Written by Gillian Flynn and Scott Huff. They also mention the actors like Rosamund Pike, Ben Affleck, Neil Patrick Harris, Tyler Perry, Carrie Coon, Kim Dickens, Patrick Fugit, and Lisa Banes. Also, they mention the title “Gone What images are prioritized in the opening sequence? The opening sequence of Gone Girl is quite stylized and features a series of images of the lead characters Amy Eliott and Nick Punne as well as the various places where the movie is set, including their sprawling New York home, the streets of Missouri, and the natural surroundings. How does the film establish a feeling of the genre fro...
