Mystery research

 Welcome back Gems.

Today I did all the searching for y'all so let's get into this. The genre being researched is mystery.

High-angle shots, low-angle shots, and long shots are common in mystery movies. Common camera movements would be, long tracking shots and tight tracking shots. Common shots would be, Close-ups, medium shots, and wide shots.

Common Mis-En-Scenes would be foreboding settings like mysterious environments, such as dark woods, abandoned buildings, and secluded mansions. Red herrings like misleading clues and false suspects. Characters with secrets, such as dark pasts, hidden motives, and hidden identities. A twist ending is often used to maintain audience interest.

Common editing would be jump cuts, flash cuts, cross dissolves, low motion, and montage sequences.

Common sounds would be Tension-building sounds, such as eerie music, atmospheric sound effects, and quiet moments of silence. The use of silence can be very effective in creating a sense of tension and uncertainty. Dialogue can be used to reveal key pieces of information.

Some examples of mystery movies are Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express, The Silence of the Lambs, Zodiac, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Seven, and Knives Out.

Elements I like is an intriguing mystery with twists and turns that can create a sense of suspense and tension. Well-written characters with different personalities, motivations, and secrets keep me connected with the characters.

Elements I do not like are slow-paced mystery movies that can be boring, movies that take too long to build tension, and too many red herrings that become confusing and can leave me feeling frustrated or lost.

Well that's all I have for you. Later Gems.

Sincerely,

Makenna Jewels <3

Intro blog; All about me

Welcome Gems to the story of my life.  My name is Makenna Jewels Ricks born on December 20th 2007 making me a Sagittarius. I grew up with my two younger sisters and two older brothers. And my favorite color is pink.  Now that the introduction is out of the way let's get into it. From a very young age I have always loved to read, a trait I still posses. The feel of paper in my hands is an unbeatable feeling.  It has always been amazing how some can create such a complex world with only ink, paper and their imagination.  Emotional transportation to anywhere or any time I like. The Book Thief, Six of Crows and Legendborn really created this transportation for me. Baking is a passion of mine. It's like sharing in the art of creation, with sugar, spice and all that. My favorite personal recipe has to be my mini apple pies, that's all I can say about them (trademark pending). But y'know what beats baking desserts? Eating desserts, chocolate chip cookies, cake with but...

Production: Filming; The Man in the Mirror (maze)

Hey Gems. Welcome back as promised here is the blog were I felt everything went wrong. But we'll get into that. This blog is not A Glimpse in my Chaotic Mind, because I wouldn't have done that, rather a look into someone else's mind. Let's just get into this.  First how do you work at a fair and have the most unapproachable attitude I have ever seen in my whole 16 years of living. Like if you don't like people don't work at fair. Like hello. So as y’all know the mirror maze was a major part of our film. Yes I’m using past tense because that dream came crashing down real quick. So. we mostly filmed in order of the scenes. We beforehand asked each ride or game attendee can we film. When we asked Mr. Attitude’s response was “no, how many?” Then when we were trying to explain the situation to him he just scanned the game-card and told us to go in. However we were what for it to clear so we could get a good take. He doesn’t care at all.  Now that we had captured the ...

Production; And We Have a Winner

Hey Gems. It's that time again. Season finale of A Glimpse in my  Chaotic  Mind. And today is all about the finishing touch and the final product. I know it's bitter sweet but let's put those feelings aside.  So as you know the film was reviewed by a peer (for more on that check that blog). This installment is about all the changes and mishaps that occurred. L et's get into this. So first let's address the elephant in the room. Well y'all wouldn't know this but the movie was over its run time. Which the reviewer and the group pointed out. Now there is deleted scenes which is always my favorite, maybe I can share that with all but first permission from Patrisha. Deciding which scene would be cut wasn't that hard. The problem was would the story make sense if this part is taken away. And if I'm being honest this all spiraled from the mirror maze incident. But even with the scene being deleted the story still followed a linear path.  So y'all rememb...
