Production: Editing; Step Right Up

While hello there, Gems. Enter if you dare into this editing blog. Did that sound scary I wanted to give my best haunted house impression. Yes, I this isn't a haunted house. Does it matter? Let's get into why you are here the editing process. Right this way.

So the editing process has not changed that much since last project, well I'll explain. This time filming was done on my phone which I don't really care about, I have the storage. But it would mean I would have to send the videos to Karina who would the major editing. While at the fair we began to crop clips to their proper length. For instance if the take was 13 and the scene was 10 second we would shave off the extra 3 seconds. This is to ensure the film was the desired time. And since the shots were pretty much taken in order, ordering the shot were a lot easier.  Also this really isn't editing but the the the take we preferred the most the video was hearted so it was easier to find.

Filters were also added to the clips while at the fair. This was to brighten up the scene and bring it more to life. Also to add that ominous feeling to the scenes Because who knew Wednesday night would have so many people visiting the fair. The also leans over to why we are doing voiceovers. Okay I already know what y'all are think, Voiceover way to take us out of the film. First I appreciate the concern, I love that y'all care. And second the voiceover is necessary as the audio on the video are poor. And before y'all go dissing my phone, it was loud. I guess that's the charm of public spaces, but not for this movie.

Anyways Gems that's all I have for today. Hope you enjoyed. That a picture it last longer and keep shining.

Sincerely,

Makenna Jewels<3

P.S. the title is from a song, can y'all guess which one? (hint: Taylor Swift)

P.P.S see what I mean by it was full.

Production: Filming; The Man in the Mirror (maze)

Hey Gems. Welcome back as promised here is the blog were I felt everything went wrong. But we'll get into that. This blog is not A Glimpse in my Chaotic Mind, because I wouldn't have done that, rather a look into someone else's mind. Let's just get into this.  First how do you work at a fair and have the most unapproachable attitude I have ever seen in my whole 16 years of living. Like if you don't like people don't work at fair. Like hello. So as y’all know the mirror maze was a major part of our film. Yes I’m using past tense because that dream came crashing down real quick. So. we mostly filmed in order of the scenes. We beforehand asked each ride or game attendee can we film. When we asked Mr. Attitude’s response was “no, how many?” Then when we were trying to explain the situation to him he just scanned the game-card and told us to go in. However we were what for it to clear so we could get a good take. He doesn’t care at all.  Now that we had captured the ...

Production; Wrapped in black

Hey Gems.  I hope you enjoyed my rant about about motorcycles last blog. Today's blog is going to be less aggressive. Yes, I know the title is deceiving. But what do you expect when this is a glimpse into my chaotic mind. However today is all about my costume. Let's get into this.   My character Amanda (spoiler) is the stalker so we decided all black would be the best option.  A hoodie was also included in the outfit as to make to reveal more dramatic. Shall we break this outfit down like they do on the red carpet.  A black hoodie that was slightly oversized to have a hood that would cover my face. The face covering that was actually a black scarf which was used instead of a face mask. And I think the worst decision made on my part, black boots with an wedge. Don't get me wrong I love my boots but as a stalker running around a fair, a pair of Converses would have been a relief. The hoodie and boots were paired with dark blue jeans. Side note the nails ...

Title Research; Gone girl

Welcome back Gems. Today the research we've learned is being used to break down an opening sequence.  The movie being used is Gone Girl. Let's get into this.  The website I have decided to use is: http://www.artofthetitle.com/ What titles are displayed during the opening sequences? They display that it is a David Fincher film Based on the novel by Gillian Flynn, Written by Gillian Flynn and Scott Huff. They also mention the actors like Rosamund Pike, Ben Affleck, Neil Patrick Harris, Tyler Perry, Carrie Coon, Kim Dickens, Patrick Fugit, and Lisa Banes. Also, they mention the title “Gone What images are prioritized in the opening sequence? The opening sequence of Gone Girl is quite stylized and features a series of images of the lead characters Amy Eliott and Nick Punne as well as the various places where the movie is set, including their sprawling New York home, the streets of Missouri, and the natural surroundings. How does the film establish a feeling of the genre fro...
