Production; Behind the Magic

Hey Gems. Today is a bit different, but I wanted to spice it up. Today it's all about those little moments that don't make the cut for the other blog. My editor (Me) has allowed this exclusive behind the scenes blog. Let's dive into the unknown, after you.

So first the ride there was filled with traffic. And not just any traffic, Florida rush hour traffic. Any Florida traffic isn't pretty but rush hour is the worst. But all was fine once we made it to the Turnpike. The drive was fine beside it being like 40+ minutes. So turns out the fair was not called South Broward Fair it's South Florida Fair, oopies. So that would explain the drive. This ties into why filming and getting the right takes was so important because who driving back up there. Not me, mostly because I don't have my licenses yet, but that's not important.

Once we arrived at the fair the line to get in was long. No joke. I know I keep saying this But I didn't know this many people go to the fair on a weekday. I thought we going among a few people not a few hundred. I mean can my thoughts be trusted? This is after all A Glimpse in My Chaotic Mind. Plus the amount of kids. But that's not the point the point is all the walking. So to ditch the line we walked down to the entrance. Which I think was pretty smart because we didn't have to wait or pay for parking. But it did stop us from meeting up with Jennifer sooner. That and y'know (see blog 1 of this season). This however did not stop my feet from hurting. Let me tell you boots with heels and the fair not a good mix. There was the lady also in boots but she had higher heels, I felt her pain, if she had any. All the walking because we had to find a ride and the Ferris Wheel. The Ferris Wheel is where the establishing spot was filmed. And mini spoiler it was gorgeous. I mean literally breath-taking.

Despite all the things that went wrong I had a lot of fun filming. The car ride was filled with laughter and so was the walk around the fair. Pro-tip if you want to get to know someone go to the fair. That's it Gems the BTS of our movie (not the band). Keep shining.

Production: Filming; The Man in the Mirror (maze)

Hey Gems. Welcome back as promised here is the blog were I felt everything went wrong. But we'll get into that. This blog is not A Glimpse in my Chaotic Mind, because I wouldn't have done that, rather a look into someone else's mind. Let's just get into this. First how do you work at a fair and have the most unapproachable attitude I have ever seen in my whole 16 years of living. Like if you don't like people don't work at fair. Like hello. So as y’all know the mirror maze was a major part of our film. Yes I’m using past tense because that dream came crashing down real quick. So. we mostly filmed in order of the scenes. We beforehand asked each ride or game attendee can we film. When we asked Mr. Attitude’s response was “no, how many?” Then when we were trying to explain the situation to him he just scanned the game-card and told us to go in. Music Video CCR

Hi Gems. It's that lovely time again. Reflection blog. Seeing what I've done or didn't do to learn from it. So let's get right into this. The most common convention seemed to be the actor (in most cases the singer) lip-syncing to the lyrics during all or most of the music video. However for us lip-syncing did not align with the section of the song we chose to use. We also told a story which is a consistent convention within the genre, majority of these have ambiguous endings, similar to our video. This was because the major event had happened. What was filmed was one piece of the puzzle. What followed was left to the viewer as the question 'are we still friends' was proposed. If was the resolution of the video even though it did tie up all the loose ends. This allows the views to form their own conclusions about the relationship of the friends after the music video has ended. Production; Wrapped in black

Hey Gems. I hope you enjoyed my rant about about motorcycles last blog. Today's blog is going to be less aggressive. Yes, I know the title is deceiving. But what do you expect when this is a glimpse into my chaotic mind. However today is all about my costume. Let's get into this. My character Amanda (spoiler) is the stalker so we decided all black would be the best option. A hoodie was also included in the outfit as to make to reveal more dramatic. Shall we break this outfit down like they do on the red carpet. A black hoodie that was slightly oversized to have a hood that would cover my face. The face covering that was actually a black scarf which was used instead of a face mask. And I think the worst decision made on my part, black boots with an wedge. Don't get me wrong I love my boots but as a stalker running around a fair, a pair of Converses would have been a relief. The hoodie and boots were paired with dark blue jeans.
