Production; And We Have a Winner

Hey Gems.

It's that time again. Season finale of A Glimpse in my Chaotic Mind. And today is all about the finishing touch and the final product. I know it's bitter sweet but let's put those feelings aside. So as you know the film was reviewed by a peer (for more on that check that blog). This installment is about all the changes and mishaps that occurred. Let's get into this.

So first let's address the elephant in the room. Well y'all wouldn't know this but the movie was over its run time. Which the reviewer and the group pointed out. Now there is deleted scenes which is always my favorite, maybe I can share that with all but first permission from Patrisha. Deciding which scene would be cut wasn't that hard. The problem was would the story make sense if this part is taken away. And if I'm being honest this all spiraled from the mirror maze incident. But even with the scene being deleted the story still followed a linear path.

So y'all remember when I told y'all the establishing shot was filmed on the Ferris wheel let's dive a bit deeper into that. Karina and Jennifer didn't particularly like the height so Madeleine and I were the ones to go on the Ferris Wheel. And when I tell you we took over 10 takes of that establishing shot simply because of how pretty it was. You know what scene there was a trailer for y'all I'll drop a clip from the Ferris Wheel. Which such keep y'all satisficed until release day.

Anyways editing took a bit of a turn. Okay when I say that it sound like sound bad happened. Which it didn't. The videos were originally sent from me to Karina by email but the videos were overexposed and weird looking. But easy fix we just sent them via Imessage. So crisis adverted and Lord know we could afford another crisis.

Well Gems that's all I have for this final episode. I am practically buzzing to get the movie to y'all. Release day is right around the corner. I can not wait. Anyways hold tight for the movie and keep shining. I'll see y'all at the premiere. Later!

Sincerely,

Makenna Jewels <3

Intro blog; All about me

Welcome Gems to the story of my life.  My name is Makenna Jewels Ricks born on December 20th 2007 making me a Sagittarius. I grew up with my two younger sisters and two older brothers. And my favorite color is pink.  Now that the introduction is out of the way let's get into it. From a very young age I have always loved to read, a trait I still posses. The feel of paper in my hands is an unbeatable feeling.  It has always been amazing how some can create such a complex world with only ink, paper and their imagination.  Emotional transportation to anywhere or any time I like. The Book Thief, Six of Crows and Legendborn really created this transportation for me. Baking is a passion of mine. It's like sharing in the art of creation, with sugar, spice and all that. My favorite personal recipe has to be my mini apple pies, that's all I can say about them (trademark pending). But y'know what beats baking desserts? Eating desserts, chocolate chip cookies, cake with buttercream

Production: Filming; The Man in the Mirror (maze)

Hey Gems. Welcome back as promised here is the blog were I felt everything went wrong. But we'll get into that. This blog is not A Glimpse in my Chaotic Mind, because I wouldn't have done that, rather a look into someone else's mind. Let's just get into this.  First how do you work at a fair and have the most unapproachable attitude I have ever seen in my whole 16 years of living. Like if you don't like people don't work at fair. Like hello. So as y’all know the mirror maze was a major part of our film. Yes I’m using past tense because that dream came crashing down real quick. So. we mostly filmed in order of the scenes. We beforehand asked each ride or game attendee can we film. When we asked Mr. Attitude’s response was “no, how many?” Then when we were trying to explain the situation to him he just scanned the game-card and told us to go in. However we were what for it to clear so we could get a good take. He doesn’t care at all.  Now that we had captured the

Production; Wrapped in black

Hey Gems.  I hope you enjoyed my rant about about motorcycles last blog. Today's blog is going to be less aggressive. Yes, I know the title is deceiving. But what do you expect when this is a glimpse into my chaotic mind. However today is all about my costume. Let's get into this.   My character Amanda (spoiler) is the stalker so we decided all black would be the best option.  A hoodie was also included in the outfit as to make to reveal more dramatic. Shall we break this outfit down like they do on the red carpet.  A black hoodie that was slightly oversized to have a hood that would cover my face. The face covering that was actually a black scarf which was used instead of a face mask. And I think the worst decision made on my part, black boots with an wedge. Don't get me wrong I love my boots but as a stalker running around a fair, a pair of Converses would have been a relief. The hoodie and boots were paired with dark blue jeans. Side note the nails are a stylistic choice
