Title Research; Gone girl

Welcome back Gems. Today the research we've learned is being used to break down an opening sequence. The movie being used is Gone Girl. Let's get into this.

The website I have decided to use is: http://www.artofthetitle.com/

What titles are displayed during the opening sequences?

They display that it is a David Fincher film Based on the novel by Gillian Flynn, Written by Gillian Flynn and Scott Huff. They also mention the actors like Rosamund Pike, Ben Affleck, Neil Patrick Harris, Tyler Perry, Carrie Coon, Kim Dickens, Patrick Fugit, and Lisa Banes. Also, they mention the title “Gone

What images are prioritized in the opening sequence?

The opening sequence of Gone Girl is quite stylized and features a series of images of the lead characters Amy Eliott and Nick Punne as well as the various places where the movie is set, including their sprawling New York home, the streets of Missouri, and the natural surroundings.

How does the film establish a feeling of the genre from the outset?

Throughout the opening sequence, the film uses a voice-over narration by Ben Affleck’s character, Nick, as she describes the nature of relationships. The narration also sets the tone for the film’s overall mystery. The lighting in the film also helps to set the mood. The film uses a lot of natural, dim lighting, which creates a sense of uneasiness.

Well Gems that’s all I have for you. I’ll see y’all in the next one.

Sincerely,
Makenna Jewels <3

Production: Filming; The Man in the Mirror (maze)

Hey Gems. Welcome back as promised here is the blog were I felt everything went wrong. But we'll get into that. This blog is not A Glimpse in my Chaotic Mind, because I wouldn't have done that, rather a look into someone else's mind. Let's just get into this.  First how do you work at a fair and have the most unapproachable attitude I have ever seen in my whole 16 years of living. Like if you don't like people don't work at fair. Like hello. So as y’all know the mirror maze was a major part of our film. Yes I’m using past tense because that dream came crashing down real quick. So. we mostly filmed in order of the scenes. We beforehand asked each ride or game attendee can we film. When we asked Mr. Attitude’s response was “no, how many?” Then when we were trying to explain the situation to him he just scanned the game-card and told us to go in. However we were what for it to clear so we could get a good take. He doesn’t care at all.  Now that we had captured the ...

Intro blog; All about me

Welcome Gems to the story of my life.  My name is Makenna Jewels Ricks born on December 20th 2007 making me a Sagittarius. I grew up with my two younger sisters and two older brothers. And my favorite color is pink.  Now that the introduction is out of the way let's get into it. From a very young age I have always loved to read, a trait I still posses. The feel of paper in my hands is an unbeatable feeling.  It has always been amazing how some can create such a complex world with only ink, paper and their imagination.  Emotional transportation to anywhere or any time I like. The Book Thief, Six of Crows and Legendborn really created this transportation for me. Baking is a passion of mine. It's like sharing in the art of creation, with sugar, spice and all that. My favorite personal recipe has to be my mini apple pies, that's all I can say about them (trademark pending). But y'know what beats baking desserts? Eating desserts, chocolate chip cookies, cake with but...

And there's a few things you need to know: pretty in pink is a phrase I live by and music just might be my lifeline.  From a very young age I have always loved to read, a trait I still posses. The feel of paper in my hands is an unbeatable feeling.  It has always been amazing how some can create such a complex world with only ink, paper and their imagination.  Emotional transportation to anywhere or any time I like. The Book Thief, Six of Crows and Legendborn are my top 3 favorite books of all time. I highly recommend.  Baking is a passion of mine. I love desserts,  the sugar rush  not so much. C hocolate bars may or may not be my poison of choice. By hey we all have our things. My first time editing was the commercial which was a fun learning experience. However I...
