Production; Starting to edit

I think I found my new mortal enemy, CapCut PC. Well Gems let me get into why this came to be. This is once again a glimpse of my chaotic way of planning and creating for a project.

So update from last blog, Wheel Decide is helpful, so the songs will be 'Chaotic' Tate McRae and 'The Archer' Taylor Swift. Two songs that are amazing on their own so together they will be a blessing. Using the Spotify to preview the songs I can tell we are in for a treat.

Now to why CapCut on the computer is actually the worst thing ever. I used the web browser instead of downloading the app. I sign in and notice their is no tutorial on how to work it. Which lead to my spiral as I had no idea what I was doing.  So a little knowledge and lot of frustration I began my basic project.  I upload the pictures, which was a whole other thing. As I go to choose the songs I notice the songs I'm looking for are not there. My first thought is maybe if I add the artist then the song will come up in the search. Well I was wrong, all that showed up was what I assume to be Copyright free music. Which was strange to me as I thought that would not be a problem.

Yet here it is slowing the production of my commercial. Perhaps fault lies with me, I am aware I am a not editing pro but the app was not new user friendly.  And then after all that work the draft did not save under edit. So downloaded CapCut on my phone and it was a million times easier. A friend of mine gave me a brief tutorial and I was on my way. I thought restarting would be a pain but it was for the best. I guess everything happens for a reason even losing an edit and starting over.

Anyways I better get back to work.

Sincerely,

Makenna Jewels <3

Production: Filming; The Man in the Mirror (maze)

Hey Gems. Welcome back as promised here is the blog were I felt everything went wrong. But we'll get into that. This blog is not A Glimpse in my Chaotic Mind, because I wouldn't have done that, rather a look into someone else's mind. Let's just get into this.  First how do you work at a fair and have the most unapproachable attitude I have ever seen in my whole 16 years of living. Like if you don't like people don't work at fair. Like hello. So as y’all know the mirror maze was a major part of our film. Yes I’m using past tense because that dream came crashing down real quick. So. we mostly filmed in order of the scenes. We beforehand asked each ride or game attendee can we film. When we asked Mr. Attitude’s response was “no, how many?” Then when we were trying to explain the situation to him he just scanned the game-card and told us to go in. However we were what for it to clear so we could get a good take. He doesn’t care at all.  Now that we had captured the ...

Production; Wrapped in black

Hey Gems.  I hope you enjoyed my rant about about motorcycles last blog. Today's blog is going to be less aggressive. Yes, I know the title is deceiving. But what do you expect when this is a glimpse into my chaotic mind. However today is all about my costume. Let's get into this.   My character Amanda (spoiler) is the stalker so we decided all black would be the best option.  A hoodie was also included in the outfit as to make to reveal more dramatic. Shall we break this outfit down like they do on the red carpet.  A black hoodie that was slightly oversized to have a hood that would cover my face. The face covering that was actually a black scarf which was used instead of a face mask. And I think the worst decision made on my part, black boots with an wedge. Don't get me wrong I love my boots but as a stalker running around a fair, a pair of Converses would have been a relief. The hoodie and boots were paired with dark blue jeans. Side note the nails ...

Title Research; Gone girl

Welcome back Gems. Today the research we've learned is being used to break down an opening sequence.  The movie being used is Gone Girl. Let's get into this.  The website I have decided to use is: http://www.artofthetitle.com/ What titles are displayed during the opening sequences? They display that it is a David Fincher film Based on the novel by Gillian Flynn, Written by Gillian Flynn and Scott Huff. They also mention the actors like Rosamund Pike, Ben Affleck, Neil Patrick Harris, Tyler Perry, Carrie Coon, Kim Dickens, Patrick Fugit, and Lisa Banes. Also, they mention the title “Gone What images are prioritized in the opening sequence? The opening sequence of Gone Girl is quite stylized and features a series of images of the lead characters Amy Eliott and Nick Punne as well as the various places where the movie is set, including their sprawling New York home, the streets of Missouri, and the natural surroundings. How does the film establish a feeling of the genre fro...
